I bought a Nikon D70 last year and I do my best to take care of it. For about $50, I picked up a rubberized protective skin for the camera. It's called a Camera Armor and it completely covers the D70 and acts as a shock absorber.

Consumer Reports: More Megapixels Do Not Necessarily Mean Better

...For people who want to crop photos and blow them up to 8x10s, higher megapixels can pay off. More megapixels get greater sharpness and resolution.
If that is what you need, Consumer Reports recommends an SLR from Nikon. It's the 10-megapixel D-200. But those big prints come at a big price. The D-200 costs $1,700.

Nikon and iconic bag manufacturer Crumpler have joined forces to develop two camera bags specifically designed for owners of SLR cameras. The first fruits of the partnership are the ultra cool Nikon-Crumpler the ‘This’ & the ‘That’ bags. Both bags can fit one compact SLR body, two lenses such as the AF-S DX 18-55 or the AF-S DX 55-200 and an external speedlight.
